Patriot Survival Running Series

Coming to a course near you in 2009.....

A Military-Style Running Event, geared toward the Cross Country Runner who is looking for an extra challege within the running event.  Obstacles, natural and man-made, will be featured on the 8K course, with our first Race in the fall of 2009, culminating in the Patriot Survival Running Championship at Beeson Park in Kernersville, North Carolina, in 2010. 

These races are perfect for Police, Fire and Rescue, as well as Active and Reserve Military Squads, due to the team nature of the events ! 

An added challenge to the Patriot Series, is the TEAM  "M*A*S*H"  ( as in, Many*Are*Still*Hurting.... ! ) event at the end of each race.  Registered teams of 5 athletes can choose to pay an additional registration to participate in this challenge.  Participating teams of 5 will cross the basic 8K finish line, then place the last teammate crossing the 8K finish on a medical field-gurney, and carry them 1 mile to a secondary finish.  The winning team takes all, in this TEAM event which offers a $ 500.00 cash prize !  ....A great  team-builder, or just a way to cap off your run with family and friends.

Patriot Survival Race, to be held 9/11/09

A Memorial to our Servicemen and Women will precede the race events, honoring our fallen brethren in all areas of public law enforcement and fire/rescue service, as well as military.  Upon your registration, please plan to be present for the Memorial Ceremony.  We will post a start time to the Ceremony, which may push the race start times back a few minutes.

This will be a grand event you won't want to miss.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit Triad Sports Foundation, and the families of North Carolinians who have died in the line of duty in 2008-2009.
